First of all, I would like to think all of the staff and employees at the apartment complex. Everyone is wonderful, but I really like to thank Will. He's so very helpful at all times never complains when I know sometimes he would to kill me, but he is really, really great. The whole staff is great. Will Thomas is the best!!!

Javonte came and fixed my over head kitchen light and fan. He was very kind and patient and was in and out in no time. I am very appreciative.

You know, I thought I'd appreciate the novelty of living in a city apartment after living in the country for so long, but if this is what novelty is, I'd prefer to stay in the sticks! For how much I'm paying per month—and it's a massive chunk of change comparatively speaking—you'd think I'd find a place that delivers on it's promises of cleanliness, safety and charm, but Heather Ridge doesn't deliver. The most shocking of my grievances comes from crime; I understand Charlotte has a high crime rate, but every week there's either one or an entire brigade of cop cars that goes rushing past my apartment at full volume, sometimes at night as well. I was very sick last weekend and was trying to sleep through a fever but woke up to a police car blaring its siren right outside my patio, and I was sweltering and awake for the next three hours. There's always some kind of emergency here, be it answered by cop cars or ambulance or fire trucks. Loud, ominous thumps and piercing screams are common noises at night, as well as loudly blaring music. Don't rent here if you like your beauty sleep! Though pest control is included in the rent, pests are more common than renters are. I encounter massive cockroaches every week, as big as my thumb, as well as other insects. I understand they will always be a problem in areas where garbage is nearby—and this complex is full of it—but even in my home in the country where I was surrounded by bugs, I didn't see nearly this many. And it's not like I leave the windows and doors open—it's too sketchy to do that here—they just get in! I'll have to spray myself if I want them to not invade my home. And then comes the issue of rent; I will say rent is a tiny bit cheaper here than other places in University City, but for what I'm paying for, it's certainly not worth it. I thought at least the increased police presence and suspicious screams and noises would lower my rent, but it has been steadfast. Not only this, but for the last 6 months or so, several times I have been threatened with having my apartment repossessed for not paying my rent. I am PAYING my rent, but it turns out due to an error that I can never confidently say is resolved, I am being charged 200 dollars more than what I signed up for in my lease each month. Also, you CANNOT pay your rent early, not even by a day, lest you get threatened with repossession. It seems like a hostile tactic to overcharge residents who don't know how to properly demand to see documentation of their agreements. Well, the intimidation didn't work on me, and I correct them each time, but maybe the next time I won't be able to. Overall, Heather Ridge appears to be a quaint and convenient apartment complex with honest rates and a warm staff, but under the belly is something sinister, unsanitary and deceptive. I award this facility two stars, because at least I haven't been involved in a crime yet, but perhaps I have witnessed one without knowing. "Haunting" is the word I'd use to describe this place, as I am always fearing a break-in or my car being stolen when I am here. Never in my life have my compulsions to check the door locks over and over been stronger. So please, dear reader, reconsider your aspirations of renting here. You are worth more than what this place can offer you, and I don't even need to meet you to be confident in that position. EDIT: I found out who my "roommates" are. Look up "smokey brown cockroaches," the small black one is a nymph that I find at least one of every day, the big one is an adult, which I see many of as well. The nymphs crawl in between the gaps in the tub/siding and the floor, and eventually they grow into adults and show themselves where I have to smack them with a shoe. Makes my skin crawl!

Janonte was very respectful and courteous of my apartment. He took off his shoes so he didn't track anything on the carpets. He also took his time and made sure the quality of work exceeded my expectations

My balcony hasn’t been power wash there’s bird poop that wasn’t clean before I moved out.

Jada, Tyler and Mrs. Shauna made the process smooth for moving amazing customer service, thanks for everything!!
